EARTH LAUGHS IN FLOWER
INVESTIGATION (MYP ICT)
Photoshop is the leading digital image editing application for the Internet, print, and other new media disciplines. It is embraced by millions of graphic artists, print designers, visual communicators, and regular people like you. It's likely that nearly every picture you've seen (such as posters, book covers, magazine pictures, and brochures) has either been created or edited by Photoshop. The powerful tools used to enhance and edit these pictures are also capable for use in the digital world including the infinite possibilities of the Internet It is almost impossible to use or even learn all of Photoshop's tools to their maximum benefit. Photoshop has been around since 1982! That's around 25 years of troubleshooting and advancing software. This workshop will go over the main features of the program so that you will feel confident to explore the remaining features on your own.
Features of Photoshop
- The Photoshop CS File Browser is much more useful than previous versions. Take a look at many of the improvements including quick access to automated tools, bigger thumbnails, more flexible viewing, and metadata editing.
- Previously introduced in Photoshop Elements, the Photomerge features has been brought over to Photoshop CS and enhanced to accomodate much larger images. Photomerge automatically arranges and seamlessly combines multiple images to create a panorama.
- Photoshop users can now create custom keyboard shortcuts, add new keyboard shortcuts, save and share shortcut sets, and print a reference chart of their shortcut keys. Learn all about this new feature introduced in Photoshop CS.
- Photoshop CS has a new addition under the filter menu--the Filter Gallery. Not only does the filter gallery give you a more visual way of selecting effects filters, it lets you stack multiple filter effects and apply them in one step.
- The new History Log in Photoshop CS can help you remember how to repeat a technique, record time-tracking information for client work, create a legal record, and is also useful for training purposes. Disabled by default, learn how you can take advantage of this new feature.
- Finally, Photoshop users can put type on a path or into a shape. Learn how to use this new feature of the type tool in Photoshop CS.
- In previous versions of Photoshop, you could open the histogram in a dialog box, but you couldn't keep the histogram on-screen to see how the graph changed as you made edits, except in the levels dialog. Now in Photoshop CS, we have a live histogram that updates in real time as we make edits to our images.
- In previous versions of Photoshop, you had to go through a somewhat non-intuitive process if you wanted to customize the default layouts in the picture package feature. Fortunately, Photoshop CS now offers a dialog box for visually editing and creating new picture package layouts. I'll walk you through using this feature to create a layout for 3 4x6 prints on a page.
- Photoshop CS has several new ways photographers can share their photos both for professional feedback, and among friends and family. Learn about the PDF Presentation, Web Photo Gallery, and Online Services features in Photoshop CS.
- Photoshop CS has a new type of user interface control called "scrubbers" which are easily missed because they are not obvious. If you tend to use the mouse more than the keyboard, you're going to love these--now you can enter numbers without ever taking your hand off the mouse.

5.Evaluate
Evaluation
Evaluation is perhaps the most important part of the Design Cycle. You need to evaluate the final product, evaluate each stage of the Design Cycle.
1. Understanding of MYP technology
Evaluation of MYP Technology
Why do you think we are using the design cycle? | We are using design cycle to do our work systematically as well as to make our understanding clear step by step to make our work more better which give the best piece of work |
What is the most difficult part in design cycle? | For me evaluation was the most difficult part of the design cycle because after creating an image I was not able to hide the errors just because the softwares which I used i.e. Photoshop and Photo studio consist of the tool of eraser or undo to error the error in a picture many of the times spoil it and to undo the errors erase not only the minor mistakes but the whole action taken by us recently |
Do you think you can use the design cycle to do the next project? | Yes of course design cycle is that cycle which can be used in any project and can make that project better and systematic. We can even solve the problems step by step with the help of design cycle. Design cycle is a sort of mind making and action plan |
Self-Assessment on understanding of design cycle | 5/6 |
1. Final Product
Evaluation of: FINAL PRODUCT
Have you solved the problem? | Yes I have solved the problems and finally my work became better. |
Self-Assessment | 4/6 |
2. Design Cycle
Evaluation of Design Cycle: INVESTIGATION
Have you explained the problem clearly in the Design Brief and Specification? | Yes I solved the problems whatever errors were there I solved the problem and overcome with a good result |
Have you investigated the problem thoroughly using several different sources/methods of gathering information? | Yes I investigate about the problem but then also it was not that much clear to me how to solve the problem by I tried and I solved it by myself |
Self Assessment | 5 /6 |
Evaluation of Design Cycle: DESIGN
Did you produce several feasible designs? | Yes my designs were feasible and where the best edited pictures I had ever done |
Could you justify your chosen final design? | Yes I can justify my image in a proper way including all the efforts I made and problems I faced. |
Are your designs fully described? | Yes I have described my design in brief and I can explain what I did. |
Are they of good quality? | Yes they are good according to me. |
Self Assessment | 4/6 |
Evaluation of Design Cycle:CREATE
Did you use the tools or equipment effectively? | Yes I used most of the toolsby creating different images and all were suitable for my designs |
Are there any problems? How did you solve them? | Yes there were some problems but with the help of my prior knowledge and by investigating about the problem I finally solved the problem |
If there is a change, can you justify your changes in previous steps like Design or investigation? | Yes I can justify the changes I made step by step very clearly and can also justify the conclusion I reached after facing the problems. |
Did you create a solution of appropriate quality? | Yes my solutions were appropriate according to me because they worked on my image and solved my problem. |
Self Assessment | 5/6 |
Evaluation of Design Cycle: ATTITUDES IN TECHNOLOGY
Did you work to the best of your ability? | Yes I did my best in this unit as beforestating this unit I was really excited because I already knew how to edit images but never tried the new version softwares and tools |
Were you self motivated? | Yes I did my work with lot of enthusiasm and did my work honestly |
Could you solve problems and work independently? | Yes I solved my problems independently and last with a good result without any help |
Self Assessment | 5/6 |
